The snow this week brought to mind the frozen conditions in 2010 and 2011 when the lake froze over for several weeks each year. Temperatures went down to -17C. The lake resembled a scene from Scandinavia with people strolling out into the middle of the lake, others ice-skating and some even cycling.

This week however we only got about 75mm of snow and temperatures no lower than -5C.
